CASUAL CROSS-STITCH

Sew Far, Sew Good….

Casual Cross-stitch is ideal for absolute sewing beginners or people who haven’t picked up a needle in years. You will learn the basics of cross-stitch and using graph paper, you will design your very own mini cross-stitch pattern!

These are relaxed and playful sessions that encourage participants to work within their own capabilities and styles. Every embroidery is a good embroidery! I always encourage participants to focus on being creative rather than precise techniques.

The workshop price includes all basic materials and tools and guess what? You'll walk away with a nifty take-home kit, loaded with everything you need to keep up your new hobby at home:

- 2 x embroidery hoops in super cute teeny sizes - perfect for a brooch, magnet, etc.
- Needle
- A sample of aida cloth
- 5 x embroidery floss
- Graph Paper

FAQS

How does it work?
Your workshop fee covers all materials and a take-home kit. We will start with the very basics - threading a needle and then work on learning the technique. We can then talk about your project ideas and use graph paper to map your design, or you can use a pre-made one if you would prefer. Depending on your speed, you may be able to finish one hoop in the workshop time.

Can kids come?
I will run the occasional kids workshops but this one is designed for ages 15 up. Anyone under 18 is required to be accompanied by a paying adult. Thanks for understanding.

What are the venues like?
Melville: Held at a private gallery space, this is a quiet and relaxed venue with couches and armchairs. Unfortunately, there are no accessible toilets on site.

Perth: Get exclusive access to Members Club Lawson Flats including Luis’ Bar for after workshop drinks.

Can you do private workshops?
Yep! I often run small, private workshops that are perfect for birthdays, hen nights, or for people who need a lower sensory environment. Get in contact with me and we can start planning :)
